This child has ALWAYS had gorgeous hair. Just to prove my point, here are a few images from his newborn session showing his locks of platinum blonde... super soft... baby hair.  He just wakes up every day looking like a baby model. And... the curls... that's hard for a mamma to let go of.

For Cover's haircut session, we wanted a kid friendly place that photographs well. We also wanted a trusted professional that is excellent with children... I already knew of a place  character and charm... Just located off of Main Street in Old Town Tomball...Joe's Barbershop.

"We prefer CASH"

There's no turning back now that the haircut has started. Cover transformed into a super serious haircut recipient.

Cover is side eying his little brother as his little brother is doing all the fun things... playing with the toy shelf, dreams of candy, and climbing on the swivel chairs.

This image below is one of my "photographer favorites". I framed the barber on the right edge to bring the focus onto Cover. If you look in the mirror, you'll see my reflection in the mirror of me taking the shot. 

The barber shop has a chair that's over 100 years old.  Little brother approved.

I'm not sure if little brother recognizes his big brother. 

That was fun and painless... Cover sat so still and quiet the entire haircut. But now he looks older... that's why it's difficult for Mammas... because their baby is looking older.

That lock of hair has become a keepsake for a baby book by now.  His Mother is sentimental and sweet-hearted ... like many other mothers, this curl can make a sentimental mother cry. 

BEFORE: he was looking like a free spirited surfer boy... and... AFTER: he landed his first job at the GAP.

Cover can eat his reward now, he's earned it!

If your little one is ready for their first haircut, I recommend to stop by Joe's Barbershop in Tomball, TX.  The barber is patient and highly skilled with wiggly children. There was a toy shelf with boy friendly toys (dinosaurs and trucks), gumball machine, and candy for best behavior motivation.
